NEW FOR 2011: - Redesigned model For 2011, the Infiniti QX56 is all-new, with a new and stiffer frame, new 5.6-litre V8 engine with direct injection, and a seven-speed automatic in place of the previous model’s five-speed transmission. The styling is all-new, it’s larger but lower than the outgoing model, and fuel economy is improved by ten per cent. Its assembly location also changes; it is now built in Japan, rather than in Canton, Mississippi, which will switch to light commercial vehicles. The QX56 is available with seven- or eight-passenger seating. It uses a 5.6-litre V8 engine mated to a seven-speed automatic with manual shift mode that includes Downshift Rev Match. Features include 20-inch alloy wheels with all-season performance tires, three-zone automatic climate control, automatic air rear levelling system, automatic bi-xenon headlamps with washers, fog lamps, LED taillights, power-folding heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, courtesy lights and tip-down in reverse, running boards, roof rails with crossbars, power sunroof, power liftgate, ten-way driver and eight-way passenger power heated and cooled leather seats, driver’s side memory, heated second-row captain’s chairs, power 60/40 split-folding and reclining third-row seats, second-row centre console, leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, keyless entry with pushbutton ignition, electroluminescent gauges, analog clock, navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity and streaming audio, Around-View Monitor with front and rear sonar system, Bose premium CD/DVD/MP3 stereo, XM satellite radio, USB port, and dual colour headrest monitors with wireless headphones. Available options include eight-passenger seating with second-row split-bench seat, and a Technology Package that includes 22-inch alloy wheels, Hydraulic Body Motion Control system, advanced climate control system with air purifier, intelligent cruise control, adaptive headlamps, advanced vehicle speed variable assist power steering, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, and Intelligent Brake Assist with Forward Collision Warning.
