History/Overview
The Infiniti Q60 arrived in 2014 as a renamed version of the former G37 coupe. After skipping the 2016 model year, this good-looking two-door became even more handsome thanks to a 2017 redesign.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
For 2021, the Q60 gains a new Pure entry-level trim with a lower price than last year’s Luxe starting point. Luxe versions gain a few standard safety features and see a price bump.
Available Trims
The Q60 range begins with Pure and Luxe trims, which give way to a pair of Red Sport I-Line variants at the top end. All four Q60 packages use a 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine and a seven-speed automatic transmission with AWD, but the Red Sport versions boast a third more horsepower.
Standard Features
Outside, the Q60 Pure comes dressed with all-LED exterior lighting, including auto on/off headlights; welcome lighting; passive keyless entry; heated/power-adjustable side mirrors; rain-sensing wipers; and 19-inch wheels with run-flat tires.
Inside, Pure has leatherette upholstery, heated eight-way power front seats, heated/leather-trimmed steering wheel, aluminum trim, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone automatic A/C, a six-speaker stereo with Apple and Android smartphone integration, dual (8.0-inch upper and 7.0-inch lower) touchscreen displays, satellite radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Pure’s advanced driver assists include forward collision warning with automatic braking, and tire pressure monitoring.
Luxe trim adds a sunroof, automatic high beams, power-folding side mirrors, leather upholstery, driver power lumbar/torso bolster, power-adjustable steering column, aluminum pedals, ambient lighting, remote engine start, intelligent cruise control, 360-degree camera views, a 13-speaker stereo, navigation, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, backup collision intervention, lane departure warning with haptic steering wheel, and distance control assist.
Red Sport I-Line trim brings a gloss black grille treatment, fender vents and mirror caps; a carbon fibre spoiler; performance exhaust; dual exhaust tips; red exterior badges; 20-inch wheels and tires; red contrast interior stitching; paddle shifters; carbon fibre and black chrome interior trim; extra USB ports; and a tire repair kit.
Finally, the Red Sport I-Line ProActive package gains auto-leveling/adaptive headlights, blind spot intervention, front pre-crash seatbelts, active lane control, and Infiniti’s eco pedal.
Fuel Economy
Infiniti’s fuel consumption estimates for the Q60 are 12.3/8.6 L/100 km (city/highway) for Pure and Luxe trims, and 12.5/9.2 for the more powerful Red Sport variants.
Competition
Small, upscale coupes are fewer than they used to be, but the Q60 still faces formidable competition from the Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe, the BMW 4 Series, Audi’s A5/S5, and Lexus’s RC.
