NEW FOR 2012:
- Convertible receives wider rear track, modified rear suspension, rear pop-up roll bars and available Bose front-seat speakers and climate-controlled front seats
For 2012, there are no changes to the Infiniti G sedan or coupe. The convertible receives suspension changes of a wider rear track and modified rear suspension, and its interior includes a pop-up rear roll bar. Also available on the convertible are climate-controlled front seats and Bose front speakers.
The G lineup consists of sedan, coupe and convertible models. The “x” in the name indicates all-wheel drive; otherwise, the configuration is rear-wheel drive.
The G sedan includes the G25 and G25x sedan, with 2.5-litre V6 and seven-speed automatic transmission; the G37x and G37x Sport with 3.7-litre V6 and seven-speed automatic transmission; and the G37 Sport 6MT with 3.7-litre V6 and six-speed manual transmission.
The G Coupe comes as the G37, G37x and G37 Sport, with 3.7-litre V6 and seven-speed automatic, as the G37 Sport 6MT with 3.7-litre V6 and six-speed manual transmission, and as the IPL Coupe, which builds on the G37 Sport 6MT.
The G Convertible comes as the Sport and Premier, with 3.7-litre V6 and seven-speed automatic transmission, and as the Sport 6MT with 3.7-litre V6 and six-speed manual transmission.
Features on the G25 sedan include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, LED taillights, heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, aluminum door sill plates, Intelligent Key with pushbutton ignition, front auto up/down windows, illuminated vanity mirrors, locking trunk pass-through, floor mats, electroluminescent gauges, tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, multifunction trip computer, Infiniti Controller with seven-inch colour display, cruise control, eight-way heated leather seats, power sunroof, CD/DVD/MP3 stereo with USB port, XM satellite radio, security system and tire pressure monitoring system.
The G25x adds iPod interface, automatic headlamps, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, rearview monitor and Bluetooth connectivity.
The G37x is equipped similarly to the G25x.
The G37x Sport adds 18-inch alloy wheels, unique front fascia and side sills, aluminum pedals, sport steering wheel with magnesium shift paddles, and sport seats.
The G37 Sport 6MT adds 18-inch alloy wheels, sport suspension, larger brakes, limited-slip rear differential and sport steering wheel.
Features on the G37 coupe include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic xenon headlamps, heated mirrors, power sunroof, eight-way power-adjustable heated leather seats with driver’s side memory, folding second-row seat back, illuminated entry, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, 2.0 GB Music Box Flash Memory Server, USB port, XM satellite radio, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, power tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, rain-sensing wipers, rearview monitor, auto up/down windows, Intelligent Key with pushbutton start, illuminated vanity mirrors, tire pressure monitoring system, and security alarm.
The G37 Sport coupe adds 19-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, sport seats, magnesium paddle shifters, and aluminum pedals.
The G37 Sport 6MT coupe adds a viscous limited-slip differential and navigation system.
The G37x coupe is equipped similarly to the G37 coupe, but the sunroof is optional.
The IPL Coupe builds on the Sport coupe and adds IPL-specific front and rear fascias, side sills and spoiler, unique red upholstery and steering wheel stitching, and “Silk Obi”-finish aluminum trim.
The G37 Sport convertibles include 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, three-piece folding hard roof, automatic bi-xenon headlamps, heated mirrors, dual chrome exhaust finishers, variable speed-sensing wipers, Intelligent Key with pushbutton ignition, auto up/down windows, illuminated vanity mirrors, heated eight-way power-adjustable leather sport seats, driver’s side memory, auto-dimming rearview mirror, garage door opener, compass, aluminum sill plates, electroluminescent gauges, trip computer, seven-inch control screen, Bluetooth connectivity, power tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, Bose CD/MP3 Open Air Sound System, USB port, satellite radio, rearview monitor, rear sonar system, LED taillights, fog lights, tire pressure monitoring system and pop-up roll bars.
The Premier convertible adds red leather upholstery, climate-controlled seats, Premier Edition grille, maple wood trim, 9.3 GB Music Box hard drive system, pre-crash seatbelts and navigation system.
