NEW FOR 2013:
- FX37, with 3.7-litre V6 engine, replaces FX35.
- Moving Object Detection added to models equipped with Around View.
Just like its little brother EX, the 2013 Infiniti FX has its 3.5-litre V6 engine replaced with a 3.7-litre VQ-series V6, increasing output by 22 hp to 325 total horsepower. Also, models equipped with Around View also receive Moving Object Detection.
The FX is available as the FX37, with 3.7-litre V6, or as the FX50, with 5.0-litre V8, both with a standard seven-speed automatic transmission featuring Adaptive Shift Control, downshift rev matching, and magnesium paddle shifters. Both models use Infiniti’s ATTESA E-TS (Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All Electronic Torque Split) all-wheel drive system, which includes a Snow-Mode function that adjusts the throttle input for low-speed slippery road conditions.
Features on the FX37 include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic bi-xenon headlamps, heated mirrors with puddle lamps, privacy glass, power sunroof, roof rails, Intelligent Key with pushbutton start, Bluetooth connectivity, heated and cooled eight-way power leather seats with memory, 60/40 split-folding reclining second-row seat, power tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, illuminated vanity mirrors, garage door opener, power liftgate, cargo net, cargo cover, CD/MP3 Bose eleven-speaker audio system, USB port, iPod interface, XM satellite radio, auto up/down windows, rearview monitor, cruise control, variable intermittent wipers, rear wiper, compass, power sunroof, and security system.
Navigation & Deluxe Touring Package adds 20-inch alloy wheels, navigation with 8-inch colour touch-screen, Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, front and rear sonar system, and hand-stained Maple accents.
FX37 Limited Edition adds unique turbine-design 21-inch graphite-finish aluminum alloy wheels, Aspen Pearl exterior paint, dark-tinted headlights with Adaptive Front Lighting System, and graphite-finish roof rails and cross bars.
Technology Package adds (to Navigation & Deluxe Touring Package) Intelligent Brake Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Lane Departure Warning, Front Pre-Crash Seat Belts, Intelligent Cruise Control, Distance Control Assist, rain-sensing front wipers, and auto-levelling headlight with Adaptive Front Lighting System.
The FX50 adds (to FX37) 21-inch Enkei alloy wheels, enhanced braking, advanced climate control ststem with air pruifier, hand-stained Maple accents, one-touch auto-down power rear windows, aluminum side air vents and lower door trim, navigation with 8-inch colour touch-screen, Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, and front and rear sonar system.
Sport Package adds all equipment from Technology Package from FX37 plus Continuous Damping Control suspension, rear active steer, solid magnesium paddle shifters, sport style front seats with manual adjustable thigh support, driver seat with bolster adjustment, and dark tinted headlights/side air vents/lower door trim.
