For 2011, the Hyundai Sonata is completely redesigned into its sixth generation. It now comes only with four-cylinder engines, with six-speed manual or automatic transmissions, and it includes standard electronic stability control on all models. A new hybrid model is also available.
The conventional Sonata comes with a choice of two four-cylinder engines, both of them new: a 2.4-litre gasoline direct injection (GDI), or a turbocharged 2.0-litre GDI engine.
