While the 2009 model used either a 2.7-litre or 3.3-litre V6, the 2010 model is available with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder or 3.5-litre V6. Exterior styling updates include new bumpers, front and rear fascias, rear lights, side mouldings, front grille, and standard 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the Santa Fe includes standard Bluetooth connectivity, audio and cruise controls on the steering wheel, and an auto up/down driver’s window. On vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, an Eco indicator encourages fuel-efficient driving. The 3.3-litre GLS trim line is replaced with the new 3.5 GL with Sport Package trim. The Santa Fe is available with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder with six-speed manual transmission or optional six-speed automatic, or with a 3.5-litre V6 with six-speed automatic. The four-cylinder comes in GL trim line, while the V6 comes as the GL, Sport, Limited, and Limited with Navigation. The four-cylinder is front-wheel drive only. The V6 GL and Sport come in front-wheel but can be optioned to all-wheel drive, while the Limited is all-wheel only. Features on the 2.4 GL include 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, woodgrain interior accents, driver’s auto up/down window, keyless entry, cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding second-row seat, active front head restraints, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, privacy glass, body-colour door handles, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear wiper, windshield de-icer, electronic brake force distribution, and brake assist. The 3.5 GL adds fog lights. The GL Sport adds 18-inch alloy wheels, trip computer, heated cloth seats with leather bolsters, eight-way power driver’s seat, and leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. The Limited adds dual-zone automatic climate control, premium six-CD/MP3 stereo with ten speakers, auto-dimming mirror, garage door opener, compass, four-way power passenger seat, heated leather seats, chrome door handles, and automatic headlamps. The Limited with Navigation adds a premium single-CD stereo, rearview camera, and 6.5-inch navigation screen.
