NEW FOR 2009:
- No changes
For 2009, the Honda S2000 is unchanged.
The S2000 comes in a single trim line, and uses a 2.2-litre four-cylinder engine with a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission. Its soft top is electrically-powered and includes a glass rear window.
Features include 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, power mirrors, high-intensity discharge headlamps, centre console with locking storage compartment, cruise control, exterior temperature gauge, power windows, power locks with keyless entry, leather seats, aluminum shifter knob with leather accent, leather-wrapped steering wheel, textured aluminum pedals and CD stereo with eight speakers.
The S2000 still competes admirably with its high-revving engine, notchy shifter and exceptional handling, although its interior looks dated, with its hard plastic panels and unusual dash configuration. It's definitely a driver's car; passengers aren't really comfortable in the tight cabin, and the ride is tooth-rattling firm. The price is substantial, but so is the high level of performance for driving enthusiasts.
