Since the mid-2000s, the Ridgeline been Honda’s entry in the lucrative pickup truck segment. It’s a mid-size model that stands out for its crossover-based underpinnings and innovative cargo bed.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
For 2021, the Ridgeline gets a mid-life update with new front-end styling and a revised infotainment system with a more user-friendly physical volume knob. The Ridgeline was the last Honda model with the brand’s old infotainment display, which used touch controls exclusively.
Available Trims
Honda offers the Ridgeline in Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition trims that all carry over from the 2020 model, along with a 3.5L V6 engine, nine-speed transmission, and all-wheel drive.
Standard Features
Honda fits the Ridgeline’s exterior with heated/power-adjustable side mirrors, a dual-action tailgate, 18-inch wheels and tires, a front wiper de-icer, an in-bed trunk, LED headlights/fog lights/taillights, a power tailgate lock, and passive keyless entry.
Inside, you get a sunroof, a power-sliding rear window, a digital gauge cluster display, active noise cancellation, a conversation mirror, a garage door remote, three-zone automatic climate control, heated/power-adjustable front seats, a heated steering wheel, a seven-speaker stereo, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.
Safety-wise, every Ridgeline gets forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert.
EX-L brings an auto-dimming rearview mirror, front and rear parking sensors, heated rear seats, leather upholstery, and satellite radio.
Touring adds power-folding/auto-dimming side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, ambient lighting, navigation, ventilated front seats, eight-speaker audio, exterior bed-mounted speakers, and navigation.
Black Edition trim builds on Touring with black wheels and black body trim, and special floor mats.

Honda’s fuel consumption estimates are 12.8/9.9 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
The Ridgeline brings its crossover-based platform to a segment dominated by more traditional body-on-frame trucks: General Motors’ Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon; the Ford Ranger; Toyota’s Tacoma; and the Nissan Frontier.
