- EX- L Navi adds Bluetooth hands-free connectivity and rearview camera
For 2009, the Honda Ridgeline makes some changes to its trim line-up; there are now four levels, to the three offered for 2008, with a new base DX trim. There are also several new standard features, including active front seat head restraints.
The Ridgeline uses a 3.5-litre V6 with five-speed automatic transmission. Unusual for a pickup truck, its standard four-wheel drive system runs primarily in front-wheel drive, with torque sent to the rear wheels on acceleration, or when required for extra traction.
Features on the DX include 17-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, limited-slip rear differential, integrated trailer hitch, 7-pin connector wiring, tire pressure monitoring system, windshield wiper de-icer, heated mirrors, auto-off headlights, front splash guards, variable intermittent wipers, front and rear tow hooks, eight heavy-duty tie-down cleats, in-bed trunk, composite cargo bed, cruise control, illuminated vanity mirrors, map lights, power sliding rear window, power windows with driver's auto up/down, power locks with keyless entry, tilt steering column, trip computer, CD/MP3/WMA stereo, six-way manual driver's seat, and 60/40 lift-up rear seat with storage.
The VP adds 17-inch alloy wheels, body-colour door handles and mirrors, fog lights, privacy glass, compass, and stereo auxiliary input.
The EX-L adds 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, security system, power sunroof, 115-volt power outlet, ambient console lighting, garage door opener, six-CD/MP3/WMA stereo, XM satellite radio, leather-wrapped wheel, and heated leather seats with eight-way power driver's adjustment.
The EX-L Navi adds navigation system, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, and rearview camera.
The Ridgeline is a comfortable and well-equipped vehicle for those who need a truck for light duty; it doesn't have the workhorse capability of a rear-wheel drive, body-on-frame truck, but not every truck buyer needs that much. A complete list of safety features is standard on every model. Storage space is also very generous, including an under-bed storage box, multi-function console with hidden storage areas, and rear seats that lift up, or provide under-seat storage when they're down.
