For 2011, the Honda Fit undergoes two major changes. Electronic stability and traction control, previously unavailable on all models, is now standard equipment on the Sport model. The base DX model can be ordered with an automatic transmission but without adding air conditioning if desired.
Available only as a four-door hatchback, the Fit uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with five-speed manual transmission or optional five-speed automatic. Trim lines are the DX, LX and Sport.
Features on the DX include 15-inch steel wheels, power mirrors, two-speed intermittent wipers, rear washer/wiper, power windows with driver’s side auto up/down, tilt and telescopic steering column, fuel consumption display, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, front stabilizer bar, and 60/40 split-folding rear “Magic Seat.”
The LX adds 15-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, body-colour side mirrors and door handles, roofline spoiler, power locks with keyless entry, cruise control, and rear speakers.
The Sport adds 16-inch alloy wheels, front and rear stabilizer bars, security system, chrome headlight bezels, chrome exhaust finisher, fog lamps, underbody spoiler kit, leather-wrapped steering wheel, six speakers and USB jack.
