NEW FOR 2012: - Redesigned model For 2012, the Honda CR-V has been redesigned into its fourth generation, with new styling, more power and increased fuel efficiency. New standard features introduced on the 2012 edition include an easy-folding split rear seat, Eco Assist, expanded-view driver’s mirror, electric power steering, a new intelligent multi-information display, SMS text messaging function, and a new Touring trim line. Production for the Canadian market switches from Ohio to Alliston, Ontario. The CR-V uses a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with five-speed automatic transmission. The LX and EX trim lines are front-wheel drive but can be optioned to all-wheel drive. The EX-L and Touring are all-wheel only. Standard features on the LX include 16-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, tire pressure monitoring system, black door handles, front and rear splash guards, intermittent wipers, intermittent rear wiper, heated black mirrors, privacy glass, tailgate spoiler, auto-off headlamps, compass, conversation mirror, cruise control, vanity mirrors, exterior temperature gauge, multi-information display, rearview camera, keyless entry, auto up/down driver’s window, tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, CD/MP3 stereo with USB and auxiliary input, four speakers, Bluetooth audio streaming, SMS text messaging, heated cloth seats, and 60/40 split-folding rear seat. The EX adds 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, body-colour door handles and mirrors, fog lights, power sunroof, auto on/off headlamps, front seatback pockets, illuminated vanity mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, cargo cover, and six speakers. The EX-L adds premium stereo, XM satellite radio, and leather-trimmed seats. The Touring adds chrome door handles, roof rails and navigation system.
