History/Overview
If you want a quick Civic but think the wild Type R is too much, then the next best thing is the Civic Si, a version of the car’s sedan body style that has been massaged for a bit more speed and tighter handling.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
Following the full redesign of the Civic last year, the Si is unchanged for 2023.
Available Trims
The Civic Si comes in a single trim powered by a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The sole transmission is a six-speed manual.
Standard Features
The Honda Civic Si comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights/fog lights, a sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, and passive keyless entry. Inside, there’s a digital gauge display, an auto-dimming mirror, dual-zone A/C, wireless phone charging, heated front/rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a 12-speaker stereo, and a 9.0-inch touchscreen.
Standard safety kit includes automatic high beams, forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Fuel Economy
Honda’s fuel consumption estimates are 8.7/6.4 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
Shop the Civic Si against the Hyundai Elantra N Line, Subaru WRX, VW Jetta GLI, and the Kia Forte GT.
