History/Overview
The GMC Sierra HD is the heavy-duty pickup for drivers who need more capacity and capability than the more common, light-duty 1500 can offer. This is the fourth model year for this current, fifth-generation version of the truck.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
There are no changes to the Sierra HD range for 2023; we were expecting a significant refresh, but that has been put off until 2024.
Available Trims
The GMC Sierra HD comes in Pro, SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali trims. You can get two- or four-wheel drive; regular, Double Cab and Crew Cab configurations; and standard and long beds sizes. The standard powertrain is a 6.6L gas V8 and a six-speed automatic transmission, the option being a 6.6L diesel/10-speed auto combination.
