GMC's full-size Sierra pickup has been redesigned into an all-new generation for 2014. It's available in regular, extended and crew cab configurations, and box lengths ranging from five-foot-eight, to eight feet. Powertrain choices start with a 4.3L V6 making 282 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque. A 5.3L V8 is available, producing 355 hp and 383 lb-ft, and extended and crew cab models can be optioned with a 6.2L V8 rated at 420 hp and 450 lb-ft. All variations use a six-speed automatic transmission, and can be optioned with either RWD or 4WD.
Trim levels include a base model, SLE, SLT and Denali trims.
Standard features include chrome bumpers, full-size spare tire with lock, four cargo box tie-downs, tailgate and bed rail protector top caps, dual bed lights, locking tailgate, automatic headlights, black folding side mirrors, multifunction trip computer, air conditioning, tilt steering, cruise control, power door locks, power windows with driver express up/down, vinyl floor covering, four-speaker stereo (six in extended and crew cabs), vinyl or cloth seats, and a full-folding rear bench (extended cab), or 60/40 split-folding bench (crew cab). Four-wheel drive models get a floor-mounted transfer case shifter.
In SLE trim, 4x4 shifting is handled by an electronic control and standard kit includes backup camera, body-colour side mouldings, LED cargo box lights, ?EZ? lift/lower tailgate, rear wheelhouse liners (extended and crew cab), power-adjustable heated side mirrors with driver's side spotter mirror, colour-keyed carpeting, leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated audio and cruise controls, front bench seat with lockable centre under-seat storage, IntelliLink touchscreen stereo, Bluetooth, satellite radio and OnStar.
SLT trim includes the 5.3L V8, external auxiliary transmission oil cooler, locking rear differential, trailering package, 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, remote starter, fog lights, chrome door handles, side mirrors with integrated turn signal repeaters and driver's side auto-dimming, rear window defroster, dual-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, garage door opener, and heated leather front seats with 10-way electric adjustment and two-position memory.
Denali trim adds full-time 4WD, front and rear park assist, navigation, carpeted floor mats, configurable driver information centre, heated and ventilated front seats with perforated leather, heated steering wheel, power sliding rear window, chrome assist steps, Denali-specific grille, polished exhaust tip, 20-inch wheels and Z60 high-performance suspension.
