Following a significant refresh for 2013, the GMC Acadia moves into 2014 with minor updates to trim.
The Acadia is GMC's entry in the busy mid-size crossover category, and is a mechanical sibling to the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. It's powered by a 3.6L V6 engine make 288 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque; front-drive is standard, all-wheel drive is an option, and all Acadias use a six-speed automatic transmission.
Trim levels are SLE1, SLE2, SLT1, SLT2 and Denali.
Standard equipment on the entry-level SLE1 model includes six airbags, 18-inch wheels, OnStar in-vehicle communications system, automatic headlights, power-adjustable, manual-folding mirrors with integral spotter mirrors, body-colour bodyside mouldings, rear park assist, backup camera, roof rails, rear body-colour spoiler, front and rear manual climate control, cruise control, carpeted floor mats, multi-function trip computer, simulated metallic interior accents, second-row reading lights, two 12-volt power outlets for front seats, tilt-and-telescopic steering column, Bluetooth, leather-wrapped steering wheel, under-floor cargo storage, power windows with driver express-down, eight-passenger seating, four-way manual driver's seat and two-way manual front passenger seat, cloth seats, six-speaker stereo with auxiliary input and USB port, and satellite radio.
SLE2 trim adds remote starting, inboard driver seat-mounted side impact airbag, power liftgate, auto-dimming rearview mirror, seven-passenger seating, power eight-way driver's seat and power two-way front passenger seat, Bluetooth audio streaming, and IntelliLink touchscreen stereo with colour display.
SLT1 models get variable-effort power steering, fog lights, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals and body-colour housings, chrome beltline mouldings, 19-inch wheels, tri-zone automatic climate control, aluminum interior accents, garage door opener, heated front seats, leather seats, power eight-way front passenger seat with lumbar, 10-speaker stereo with amplifier, and rear-seat audio controls.
SLT2 trim includes rear cross traffic alert, side blind zone alert, auto-dimming driver's side mirror, power windows with driver express up/down and passenger express down, and two-position memory for driver's seat and side mirrors.
Denali models get forward collision alert and lane departure warning, all-wheel drive, 20-inch wheels, head-up display, wood-trimmed steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, and perforated leather upholstery.
