For 2010, the GMC Acadia receives trim changes: standard XM satellite radio and a USB connector that will play and charge music players, new standard equipment on the SLT2 and SLE2 trim lines, and available 20-inch chrome-clad wheels and xenon headlamps.
A sibling to the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse, the Acadia uses a 3.6-litre V6 engine with six-speed automatic transmission. Configuration is front- or all-wheel drive; depending on the trim line or option packages, its three rows of seats hold seven or eight passengers. Trim lines are the SLE, SLT 1SB, and SLT 1SC.
Features on the SLE include 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear air conditioning, fog lamps, privacy glass, power mirrors, roof side rails, rear spoiler, variable intermittent wipers, variable delay rear wiper, under-floor cargo storage, cruise control, floor mats, driver information centre, tire pressure monitoring system, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power windows with driver's express-down, cloth seats, second-row SmartSlide flat-folding 60/40 seat, 60/40 split-folding third-row seat, CD/MP3 stereo, power locks with keyless entry, OnStar with Directions & Connections plan, and anti-theft alarm.
The SLT 1SB adds automatic tri-zone climate control, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, body-colour side moldings, exterior temperature display, compass, auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather-wrapped wheel with audio controls, garage door opener, heated leather seats with six-way driver and two-day passenger power adjustment, premium Bose speaker system, XM satellite radio, rear-seat audio controls and headphone jacks, and variable-assist power steering.
The SLT 1SC adds 19-inch alloy wheels, power liftgate, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals and driver's-side auto-dimming, rearview camera system, heated washer fluid system, 110-volt power outlet, front express up/down windows, eight-way driver and four-way passenger power seats, driver's side memory, and remote starter.
As with its siblings, the Acadia offers a roomy interior, good performance, handsome styling and smooth handling, and good comfort on long drives. The third-row cushions are hard, but they have enough legroom and headroom to make them viable for adults. The second row slides, flips and folds to provide a full range of configurations for passengers and cargo.
