Model Overview
Formerly known as the Hyundai Equus, the full-size G90 is the flagship of Hyundai's upscale Genesis brand. Issue:
On certain vehicles, the low-pressure fuel pump could fail when the outside temperature is high. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start. This could also result in a sudden loss of engine power while driving.
Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2023-505. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair.
Safety Risk:
A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the fuel pump.

Under certain conditions, the left turbocharger oil feed pipe and hose assembly could become damaged. If this happens, oil could leak onto hot components.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 3.3 L turbo (T-GDI) engine. This recall replaces recall R0159 (Transport Canada recall number 2019-350). Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.
Safety Risk:
Oil that leaks onto hot components can create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the left turbocharger oil feed pipe and hose assembly.

Issue:
Under certain conditions, water could leak into the starter solenoid. If this happens, the solenoid could short circuit.
Safety Risk:
A short circuit can create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off.
Corrective Actions:
Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install an updated relay in the engine junction box. Hyundai recommends that you should park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed.
