History/Overview
The Ford Ranger is a mid-size pickup truck. Introduced in 2019, it remains one of the newest entries in the mid-size truck class. The Ranger carries over unchanged for the 2020 model year.
Available Trims
Ford offers the Ranger in XL, XLT and Lariat trim levels. All are standard with four-wheel drive, a 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
XL and XLT start in SuperCab configuration with two rear jump seats; optional in XLT and standard in Lariat is a SuperCrew cab with full rear doors and a three-person rear bench seat.
Standard Features
Ranger XL comes with 16-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection and automatic braking, intermittent wipers, manual door locks and side mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a four-speaker stereo, one USB charging port, tire pressure monitoring, cloth upholstery, front seats with lumbar, auto on/off headlights, capless fuel filling, and an anti-theft system.
XLT adds dual-zone automatic climate control, blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, automatic high beams, power door locks with keyless entry, an 8.0-inch Sync infotainment touchscreen, FordPass Connect, a six-speaker stereo, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two USB charging ports, 17-inch aluminum wheels, fog lights, power-adjustable side mirrors, power rear windows (SuperCrew).
Finally, Lariat trim adds 18-inch wheels, ambient interior lighting, lane keeping assist, passive keyless entry, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift lever, an integrated garage door opener, front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, eight-way power-adjustable heated front seats, LED headlights, taillights, fog lights and daytime running lights, and heated/power-folding side mirrors.
Key Options
A technology package is where you'll find navigation, adaptive cruise control and forward sensing.
An FX4 off-road group brings all-terrain tires, skid plates, locking rear differential, and off-road shocks.

Ford's fuel consumption estimates for the Ranger are 11.8/9.8 L/100 km (city/highway).
