I had an older version of this car back in the UK, so when I saw the hatchback (especially with the SE sports pack) in Canada, it was a no-brainer.
There's a history of transmission issues with the automatic, but the manual is the rock-solid one to have and cheaper too. Exterior looks great, interior has great extra space with the folding rear seats and the front seats are perfect.
The dash looks a little space-age with buttons everywhere, so that can be a matter of preference, but everything is there.
Economy and performance are good (not sports car level of course), handling has always been the mark of these Focus hatchs and it was a Best Car in Class for a reason.
Cheap, economical, reliable, fun, practical. As I say, no-brainer.
