History/Overview
The Ford F-350 is the mid-point of Ford’s full-size pickup and the second step in the Super Duty range, slotting in above the F-250. Ford refreshed the Super Duty lineup in 2020 following a full redesign in 2017.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
For 2022, Ford adds an optional 12.0-inch touchscreen with Sync 4, a new infotainment system with cloud connectivity. There’s also a new Lariat sport appearance package with body-colour bumpers, grille, and mirror caps to replace the standard chrome pieces.
Available Trims
Ford offers the F-350 in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims. Engine choices are 6.2L and 7.3L gas V8s, and a 6.7L turbodiesel V8. All three are backed up with a 10-speed transmission, and a choice of rear- or four-wheel drive.
Standard Features
XL models come with 17-inch steel wheels, A/C, and a four-speaker stereo.
XLT heated side mirrors, a locking tailgate, 18-inch wheels, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, forward collision mitigation, a seven-speaker stereo, an 8.0-inch touchscreen and keyless entry.
Lariat gains LED box lighting, power-telescoping/folding side mirrors, power-sliding rear window, dual-zone A/C, power-adjustable pedals, an 8.0-inch driver info display, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, backup sensors, a garage door opener, Bang & Olufsen audio, a 12.0-inch touchscreen, navigation, leather upholstery, a 10-way power driver’s seat, and heated/ventilated front seats.
King Ranch adds LED headlights/fog lights, 20-inch wheels, trailer reverse guidance, lane departure warning, wireless phone charging, a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, lane keeping alert, and heated steering wheel.
Platinum brings power running boards, chrome door handles, and adaptive cruise control.
Finally, Limited brings a dual-panel sunroof, a suede headliner, and adaptive steering.
Key Options
Add the FX4 package to get all-terrain tires, off-road shocks, skid plates, and a hill descent control system.
A trailer backup assist package adds 360-degree camera views, and reverse guidance.
The King Ranch ultimate package brings adaptive cruise, forward collision mitigation, multi-contour front seats, and a tailgate assist step.
A Tremor off-road package gets all-terrain tires, lane departure warning, locking rear differential, and a front limited-slip differential.
Fuel Economy
Natural Resources Canada does not require fuel consumption estimates for heavy-duty pickup trucks.
Competition
The Ford F-350 competes with the Chevrolet Silverado 3500, GMC Sierra 3500, and Ram 3500.
