The Econoline is Ford's long-lived full-size van model. Econoline's name dates back to the 1960s, but the modern version shares more -- in concept, anyway -- with the second-generation version of the '70s, the first based on the F-series pickup. This is a true work truck, with a bare-bones interior, powerful engines and generous towing and payload figures. Ford sold the Econoline for several years alongside the more modern, European-designed
Transit.
