For 2013, the Dodge Journey continues with the same design and powertrain options as last year, but builds on its packages with more standard equipment. The Journey is available with two engines - 2.4L inline four-cylinder with VVT producing 173 hp and 166 lb-ft of torque powering the front wheels through a four-speed automatic, or Chrysler's 3.6L Pentastar V6 producing 283 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque mated to a six-speed automatic powering the front or all four wheels. Trims are SE CVP, SE Plus, SXT, Crew, R/T AWD, and R/T Rallye AWD. SE CVP features include 2.4L inline four-cylinder engine, four-speed automatic transmission, 17-inch aluminum wheels, electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, trailer sway control, brake assist, traction control, airbags (front, side-curtain, front-seat side, driver’s knee), active front headrests, proximity key with push-button start, Uconnect 4.3 CD/MP3 with 4.3-inch touch-screen and six speakers, steering wheel mounted cruise and audio controls, air conditioning with dual-zone temperature control, body-colour door handles, power heated mirrors, premium cloth seating, power locks and windows, tilt/telescopic steering column, performance steering, remote USB port and auxiliary input jack, and tire pressure monitoring display. Crew adds 3.6L Pentastar VVT V6 with 6-speed automatic, 19-inch aluminum wheels, heated steering wheel, dual bright exhaust tips, Uconnect 8.4 CD/MP3 with 8.4-inch touch-screen, satellite radio (first year free), heated front seats, 10-way power driver’s seat with lumbar adjuster, front passenger fold-flat seat with in-seat storage, remote start, automatic temperature control, front and rear aimable LED lamps, bright roof rails, cargo compartment cover, and universal garage door opener. R/T AWD adds all-wheel drive, leather-faced seating, bright door handles, R/T badge, six premium speakers with subwoofer, and performance suspension. R/T Rallye AWD adds (to Crew) 19-inch satin carbon aluminum wheels, black leather-faced seats with perforated inserts and red accent stitching, firm feel steering, high performance suspension, dimpled leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, red accent stitching on steering wheel, body-colour crosshair grille and door handles, and Uconnect hands-free communication with Bluetooth streaming audio.
