CHANGES FOR 2014:
-Available Redline package, including uprated V6 engine with sport mode, cold-air induction and sport-tuned exhaust
Not much changes on the Charger for 2014. A new Redline package bundles some cosmetic upgrades with an uprated version of the Pentastar V6 benefitting from cold-air induction, sport-tuned exhaust and a sport mode.
The Charger is available with three engine options and two transmission options ? in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive ? depending on trim choice:
- 3.6L Pentastar V6, producing 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed automatic, in rear-wheel drive configuration only.
- 3.6L Pentastar V6, producing 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic, in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
- 5.7L HEMI V8, producing 370 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed automatic, in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
- 6.4L SRT HEMI V8, producing 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed automatic, in rear-wheel drive configuration only.
Trims include SE, SXT (RWD/AWD), SXT Plus (RWD/AWD), R/T (RWD/AWD), R/T Road/Track, SRT Super Bee, and SRT.
SE models are powered by the 3.6L Pentastar V6 and a five-speed automatic transmission. Features include six-way power driver's seat, cloth upholstery, Uconnect 4.3, auxiliary audio input and USB jack, full-colour electronic vehicle information centre, dual-zone temperature control, steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, tilt-and-telescopic steering column, power windows with one-touch up/down, illuminated cupholders and rear passenger assist handles, 60/40 split folding rear seat, cargo net, front and rear floormats, full-length front console, power side mirrors, 17-inch aluminum wheels, bright dual exhaust tips, automatic headlights, black grille with bright surround, capless fuel filler, intelligent keyless entry, and touring suspension tuning.
SXT trim adds the eight-speed transmission (optional on SE models), eight-way power driver's seat with lumbar, fog lights, 18-inch wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, satellite radio, Uconnect 8.4, Bluetooth, six-speaker stereo, auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote start, and garage door opener.
SXT Plus brings leather seats, heated rear seats and steering wheel, power front passenger seat, front overhead LED lighting and driver and front passenger lower LED lighting.
R/T models start with the Hemi 5.7L V8 and the five-speed transmission, and get leather sport seats with heated seats front and rear, performance exhaust and suspension, upgraded brakes, Xenon low-beam headlights, body-colour rear spoiler, front overhead LED lighting and an upgraded rear axle.
The R/T Road & Track model adds a higher rear axle ratio, high-speed engine controller, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, perforated leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, 20-inch wheels, driver's side auto-dimming mirror, auto-adjust in-reverse mirror function, heated side mirrors, memory function for radio, driver's seat and mirrors and power adjustable pedals, and power tilt-and-telescopic steering column.
SRT models use the 6.4L Hemi motor and five-speed automatic transmission. Added features include performance-tuned steering, active valve exhaust, sport setting, three-mode adaptive suspension and stability control, launch control, upgraded brakes, SRT design 20-inch wheels, functional hood scoop, Xenon headlights, nappa leather seats with perfortaed suede inserts, heated front seats, heated and leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, metal pedals and Uconnect 8.4 with navigation.
