NEW FOR 2011: - Redesigned model - Standard front seat side airbags - 6.1-litre SRT8 discontinued For 2011, the Chrysler 300 is redesigned into its second generation, featuring new styling and features, a new V6 engine and more powerful V8 engine. The high-performance SRT8 model has been discontinued for 2011. The 3.5-litre V6 used in 2010 is replaced with a 3.6-litre V6, while the 5.7-litre V8 carries over with an increase in horsepower from 359 to 363. The V8 continues to use a multi-displacement system (MDS) to shut off four cylinders under light engine load. The 300 is available with a 3.6-litre V6 in the Touring and Limited, and a 5.7-litre V8 in the 300C. All V6 models are rear-wheel drive, while the 300C comes in rear- or all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive model features an automatic front axle that disconnects when not needed for improved fuel economy, and reconnects when slippage is detected, or proactively when the temperature drops or the wipers come on. Features on the Touring include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, ten-way power driver’s seat, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, interior LED ambient lighting, LED daytime running lights, hill-start assist, driver’s knee airbag, active front head restraints, 8.4-inch Uconnect touch media centre, iPod interface, auxiliary input jack, Sirius satellite radio, proximity key entry with pushbutton start. The Limited adds 18-inch chrome-clad wheels, heated Nappa leather seats, power passenger seat, premium Alpine speaker system, heated chrome-clad mirrors, chrome door handles, remote starter, security alarm, back-up camera, LED-illuminated rear cupholders and Uconnect phone with voice command. The 300C adds performance brakes, real wood trim, power tilt and telescopic heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated and cooled front cupholders, power-adjustable pedals, interior LED lamps, driver’s side memory, garage door opener, power rear sunshade, auto-dimming rear-view and driver’s exterior mirrors, tip-down in reverse mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and adaptive bi-xenon headlamps with SmartBeam. The 300C AWD is similarly equipped but uses 19-inch alloy wheels.
