CHANGES FOR 2013:
- New model.
Proving that GM is serious about this small car thing, the Spark city car migrates from Europe to North America. This tall five-door hatch sports huge spear-like headlights and a blunt snout with upright grill. The 84-hp 1.2L four-cylinder gas engine, hooked up to either a five-speed manual or four-speed auto, gets the job done. Despite its short footprint, the four-seat Spark has decent legroom in the back for two adults, and headroom is generous. Like the Sonic, it has a smooth ride and handles decently. A palette of bold colours perk up this stylin? Korean-built pip-squeak, although only the most brave will choose Techno Pink.
In LS trim, features include 1.2L ECOTEC 4-cylinder engine with MFI, 5-speed manual transmission, 15-inch alloy wheels, body colour door handles, body colour liftgate handle, airbags (front, front seat, driver and front passenger knee, rear seat, side curtain), OnStar, LATCH, front disc/rear drum brakes, automatic headlights, roof mounted spoiler, cargo net, driver information centre, tilt steering, sunshades with driver's side vanity mirror, power windows, 4-way driver/2-way passenger seats, cloth seating, 60/40 split folding rear seat, and 4-speaker AM/FM stereo with auxiliary input.
1LT trim adds security system, power mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control, floor mats, power locks, remote keyless entry, multifunction steering wheel, passenger vanity mirror, 6-speaker audio, Bluetooth phone connectivity, Chevrolet MyLink Touch AM/FM/Stitcher SmartRadio with 7-inch screen, USB port, and satellite radio.
2LT trim adds chrome tipped exhaust, chrome finish liftgate handle, fog lights, body colour lower mouldings, wider 15-inch alloys, silver roof rails, leather wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, leatherette seating, and Bluetooth audio.
