Cadillac XT5
Model Overview
The Cadillac XT5 is a compact luxury crossover that replaced the SRX in 2017 and was updated for the 2020 model year. This modern-looking car belies Cadillac's staid reputation, especially among younger shoppers. The XT5 is small but boasts comfortable, roomy seating and good cargo space. The suspension is good at isolating the cabin from rough roads. A V6 engine brings good power; new for 2020 is a turbo four-cylinder.

Note: You may notice wind noise while driving or a water leak from the windshield.

On certain vehicles, a problem inside the transmission could cause the left-front axle shaft to separate from the transmission. If this happens, there would be a loss of power to the wheels. This could also cause the vehicle to roll away while parked, if the parking brake isn't used.

On certain vehicles, the front brake calipers may have a torn or extruded caliper piston seal. This could result in a loss of hydraulic brake fluid, which could decrease braking performance and extended stopping distances, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the date codes of the right and left front caliper assemblies and check for signs of leaking brake fluid. If the date code falls within the affected range, the dealer will replace the brake caliper assembly. If there are signs of brake fluid leakage, the dealer will also replace the disc brake pads. Note: A red "BRAKE" telltale light will illuminate when approximately 72% of the brake hydraulic fluid has leaked from the brake master cylinder reservoir.
