For 2011, the Cadillac STS is available only with a V6 engine; the 4.6-litre V8 has been discontinued. OnStar has been upgraded to its ninth generation for improved voice recognition.
The STS uses a 3.6-litre V6 with six-speed automatic transmission. Its rear-wheel drive configuration can be optioned to all-wheel drive.
Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlights, keyless entry, OnStar with Turn-by-Turn Navigation, rear parking assist, fog lights, heated mirrors with driver’s auto-dimming, variable intermittent wipers, aluminum interior trim, cruise control, driver information centre, tire pressure monitoring system, illuminated vanity mirrors, power tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, auto up/down front windows, auto-down rear windows, eight-way driver and four-way passenger leather seats, rear seat pass-through, CD/MP3 stereo with Bose speakers, and XM satellite radio.
Available options include a Driver Awareness Package of head-up display, lane departure warning system and side blind zone alert; a Memory Personalization Package of driver and passenger memory settings, parallel park feature and power tilt and telescopic steering wheel; a Platinum Edition of 18-inch chrome-plated wheels, Platinum-specific grille and door sill plates, wood trim, leather-wrapped interior trim, Alcantara headliner, Tuscany full leather seats, premium floor mats and heated steering wheel; Luxury Collection with power sunroof, luxury lighting package, navigation system, 15-speaker surround sound system and Bluetooth connectivity; Premium Collection of power sunroof and Driver Awareness Package; and Wood Trim Package with genuine Sapele Pommele wood on centre stack, instrument panel, door trim, steering wheel and shifter.
