NEW FOR 2015:
-Standard OnStar 4G LTE with wi-fi hotspot
-New exterior colour options
With its replacement, the 2017 XT5, waiting in the wings, Cadillac's SRX crossover enters the 2015 model year with no significant changes.
The sole engine offered is a 3.6L V6 that makes 308 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque, which comes mated to a six-speed automatic. That limits driveline options to the choice between front- and all-wheel drive.
Cadillac offers the SRX in four trims: a base FWD-only model, a Luxury trim that can be had with two or four driven wheels, or as the Performance and Premium models, which are AWD-only.
Standard kit includes OnStar, deep-tinted side and rear windows, automatic headlights, LED accent lighting, heated side mirrors with body-colour housings, black roof rack side rails, tire inflator kit (a compact spare is an option), 18-inch wheels, variable intermittent front wipers, rear wiper/washer, automatic dual-zone climate control, overhead front console, rear console, cruise control, carpeted floor mats, driver information centre, tire pressure monitoring, push-button start, illuminated entry/exit, power locks with keyless entry, four 12-volt power outlets, leather-trimmed steering wheel with manual tilt-and-telescopic adjustment, sunshades with lighted vanity mirrors, power windows with express up/down for front glass, leatherette-trimmed seats, eight-way power driver's seat and four-way manual front passenger seat, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, eight-speaker stereo with steering wheel-mounted controls, Bluetooth, CUE infotainment system, motorized flip-up screen with hidden storage compartment, satellite radio, and two USB inputs.
Luxury trim adds side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, electronic limited slip rear differential (AWD models only), remote start, power tailgate with programmable opening height, power-folding side mirrors with auto-dimming for driver's side, front and rear park assist, backup camera, chrome roof rack side rails, sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, cargo area privacy cover, cargo management system with under-floor storage, ambient interior lighting, driver's seat memory, auto-dimming rearview mirror, power-adjustable pedals, heated leather-and-wood-trimmed steering wheel, garage door opener, wood-trimmed shifter, console and doors, and leather seats.
Performance trim gets standard AWD, speed-sensitive power steering, sport suspension with continuously variable real-time damping, headlight washers, fog lights, HID headlights, 20-inch wheels, 10-speaker surround-sound stereo, navigation, and an SD memory card slot.
Finally, the Premium models add forward collision alert, lane departure warning, vibrating safety alert seat, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated rear seats, rear-seat climate controls, and ventilated front seats.
