NEW FOR 2010:
- All-new redesigned model
- Front-wheel drive replaces rear-wheel drive
For 2010, the Cadillac SRX is completely redesigned, with two new engine choices, an all-new chassis, front- or available all-wheel drive with an electronic limited-slip differential, and a new interior.
Sharing its platform with the equally all-new Chevrolet Equinox, the 2010 SRX uses a direct-injected 3.0-litre V6 engine or optional turbocharged 2.8-litre V6, the smallest-displacement engines offered by Cadillac in North America but with performance typical of larger-displacement engines combined with better fuel economy. Both engines use a six-speed automatic transmission. The optional all-wheel drive system uses an electronic limited-slip differential, or eLSD, which enables it to distribute torque from front to rear, and from side to side, providing torque to the wheel with the most traction.
The optional all-wheel drive system operates primarily in front-wheel drive but provides power to the rear wheels preemptively in wet or icy conditions.
The front- and all-wheel models are equipped similarly, and include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear privacy glass, LED taillights, power-folding heated mirrors with driver's side auto-dimming, black roof side rails, variable intermittent wipers, fixed intermittent rear wiper, under-floor cargo storage, cruise control, driver information system, tire pressure monitoring system, auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather-wrapped tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, garage door opener, auto up/down front windows, keyless entry, OnStar with Turn By Turn navigation, anti-theft alarm, eight-way driver and six-way passenger power heated leather seats, two-position driver's memory, eight-speaker Bose CD/MP3 stereo, Bluetooth connectivity, and XM satellite radio.
Available options include power liftgate, panoramic sunroof, xenon headlamps, sport suspension, parking assist, and rear-seat DVD entertainment system.
