For 2011, the Cadillac Escalade receives noise reduction enhancements, including laminated front windshield and front row side glass, modified front door weather strips and redesigned outside rear-view mirror. OnStar is upgraded to its ninth generation, and there are enhancements to the navigation system.
The Escalade is available as the regular-wheelbase Escalade and the long-wheelbase Escalade ESV. The Hybrid is based on the regular-wheelbase model. The Escalade EXT pickup truck is covered separately.
The Escalade and ESV use a 6.2-litre V8 with six-speed automatic transmission. The Hybrid uses a 6.0-litre V8 with hybrid system, mated to a two-mode transmission with four gears. The Hybrid is able to operate on battery power alone, on the gasoline engine, or on a combination of the two, and recharges its battery through regenerative braking. All models are all-wheel drive and have three rows of seats.
Features on the Escalade include 18-inch alloy wheels, tri-zone automatic climate control, auxiliary rear heater, keyless entry, automatic xenon headlamps, OnStar with Turn-By-Turn Navigation, anti-theft alarm, rear parking assist, automatic rear-levelling control, chrome-accented assist steps, privacy glass, power liftgate, fog lights, LED taillights, power-folding heated mirrors with driver’s auto-dimming, integrated turn signals, puddle lamps and tilt-down in reverse, rear-view camera, front recovery hooks, roof rack and crossbars, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear wiper, garage door opener, cruise control, driver information centre, tire pressure monitoring system, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, power-adjustable pedals, power tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, auto up/down front windows, 12-way heated and ventilated leather seats, driver’s side memory, heated second-row reclining bucket seats, removable 50/50 split-folding third-row seat, CD/DVD/MP3 stereo with premium surround sound, navigation system, USB and auxiliary input, Bluetooth connectivity, rear-seat audio controls and headphone jacks, and XM satellite radio.
The ESV is similarly equipped.
The Hybrid adds 22-inch chrome-clad wheels, Intellibeam headlight control, side blind zone alert, electric power-assisted steering, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, power sunroof, and three-passenger 60/40 split-folding second-row bench seat with heated outboard positions.
