The navigation system is updated and OnStar moves into its ninth generation with improved voice recognition. Based on the Chevrolet Avalanche, the Escalade EXT uses a 6.2-litre V8 engine with six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. It includes GM’s exclusive “Midgate” panel which converts it from a five-passenger SUV to a two-passenger pickup, with 2.7 metres (9 feet) of protected and secured storage area. The standard locking tonneau cover can be removed entirely for extra storage room.
