History/Overview
The Cadillac Escalade ESV is an extended-length version of this full-size luxury SUV. The regular Escalade is based on the Chevrolet Tahoe, and the ESV shares its underpinnings with the Suburban. The Escalade ESV carries over unchanged for the 2020 model year.

Competition
The Escalade's sole domestic competitor is the Lincoln Navigator. Escalade ESV's platform-mate, the GMC Yukon XL Denali, approaches Cadillac luxury in a similarly large package.
