NEW FOR 2009:
- New TTS coupe and roadster
An all-new model for 2008, the Audi TT coupe and roadster are unchanged for 2009. They are now joined by the TTS coupe and roadster, the most powerful TT the company has produced.
Both coupe and roadster are available as the 2.0T, with 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission; as the 3.2, with 3.2-litre V6 and six-speed manual transmission or optional dual-clutch automatic; and as the TTS, with 2.0-litre direct-injected turbocharged four-cylinder and six-speed dual-clutch automatic. The 2.0T is available in front-wheel drive or with Quattro all-wheel drive; all other models use the Quattro system exclusively.
Features on the 2.0T include 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, speed-sensitive electromechanical steering, retractable rear spoiler, fog lights, heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, ten-way leather and Alcantara sport seats, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, floor mats, keyless entry, auto up/down windows, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, driver information centre, cruise control, garage door opener, knee airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, and six-CD/MP3 stereo. The roadster adds a wind deflector, rollover bars and a soft top with glass rear window that's manually operated on the front-wheel drive and automatic on the Quattro version.
The 3.2 adds 18-inch alloy wheels, high-gloss black grille, adaptive bi-xenon headlamps, chrome-look headlight trim, and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity.
The TTS adds hill hold assist, unique heated TTS sport seats, TTS shifter knob, Audi Symphony stereo with auxiliary input, heated washer nozzles, and Audi Magnetic Ride.
The TT is a well-done makeover, with driver-oriented cockpit, flowing design, comfortable interior and superb driving dynamics. The TTS builds on that with breathtaking acceleration, great performance, and a beautiful exhaust note that's even better when the transmission's rev-matching downshifts blip.
