History/Overview
The Audi TT started out in the late 1990s as a design exercise that would influence the look of the brand’s lineup for years after its introduction. Since then, Audi has sharpened the TT’s edges in more ways than one: the TT RS is the true sports car of the bunch, with performance that proves this coupe is not just a pretty face. There are no noteworthy changes for 2020.
Available Trims
Audi sells the TT RS in a single trim. Power is from a 2.5L turbocharged five-cylinder engine, which comes matched with a seven-speed automatic transmission and the brand’s Quattro AWD.
Standard Features
Every TT RS comes dressed in 19-inch wheels and tires, LED headlights and taillights (the latter including dynamic turn signals), front all-weather lights, auto-dimming/power-folding side mirrors with matte aluminum housings, a fixed rear spoiler and RS bumpers, sport exhaust with black tips, and aluminum-look body trim. Performance enhancers include a magnetic ride suspension and the Audi drive select system.
Inside, TT RS buyers get heated/power-adjustable sport seats with diamond stitched Nappa leather upholstery and pneumatic side bolsters, LED interior lighting, an integrated garage door opener, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluser, automatic climate control, a leather/Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel, carbon fibre and aluminum-look trim, passive keyless entry, and a first aid kit.
The TT RS’s tech suite comprises a nine-speaker stereo, the MMI touch controller with handwriting recognition, Bluetooth, satellite radio, navigation, and the Audi smartphone interface.
The TT RS’s standard safety kit comprises parking sensors and blind spot monitoring.

The black optics package adds black side mirrors, black front bumper trim, and a black rear diffuser strip.
Fuel Economy
Audi’s fuel consumption estimates for the TT RS are 12.1/8.2 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
Depending on your budget and performance desires, the TT RS competes with cars like the Chevrolet Corvette, the Toyota Supra, Porsche’s 718 Boxster and Cayman, and the BMW Z4.
