Audi's compact sports sedan, the S4, continues into 2014 with few changes. Power comes from a supercharged 3.0L V6 that makes 333 hp. It comes standard with 19-inch wheels, quattro all-wheel drive, and a six-speed manual. A seven-speed dual clutch automatic is an available option. The standard quattro all-wheel drive and available sport differential make it a quick car with great fun and stability in our long winters.
Audi Drive Select control for adjustable damping, throttle response and gear changes is now standard, as is proximity entry and keyless start. The S4 is rated at 13.8 L/100 km city and 9.0 highway with the manual and 13.0/8.5 with the automatic.
There are two trim levels available, Progressiv and Technik. S4 Progressiv gets xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, a sunroof, Nappa leather, Audi MMI interface for the stereo with bluetooth compatibility. The seats are sport seats with power adjustment and seat heaters in the front. There are also automatic lights and wiper control. Technik adds navigation, a rear-view camera, blind spot monitoring, and heated rear seats. It also upgrades the stereo to a Bang & Olufsen system and gets adaptive headlights.
The S4 competes with the BMW 335i, Lexus IS 350, and Mercedes-Benz C350.
