CHANGES FOR 2014:
-Xenon headlights standard on all models
-Intelligent keyless entry standard in Technik and Sport trims
Audi's full-size crossover moves into 2014 with minor changes to trim and standard features. A supercharged 3.0L gas V6 is the base powerplant, rated at 280 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. An uprated version of that motor, with 333 hp and 325 lb-ft, is one upgrade (Sport trim), the other being a diesel with the same displacement and number of cylinders, and rated at 240 hp and 406 lb-ft. All Q7s come with Audi’s excellent Quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. With excellent ergonomics, tight shut lines and expensive-feeling materials, the Q7 comes across as a tall A8 wagon, albeit one that can handle some light off-roading.
The entry-level 3.0T Progressiv package includes 18-inch wheels, aluminum interior trim, Xenon headlights, power tailgate, heated auto-dimming outside mirrors with power fold feature, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated leather steering wheel with electric tilt and telescope adjustment, eight-way power leather seats with lumbar and driver memory, heated front and rear seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, 11-speaker stereo, satellite radio, Bluetooth, music interface, driver information display, front and rear park assist, backup camera and cruise control.
Choosing the TDI engine also adds19-inch wheels and navigation.
Mid-range Technik trim includes 19-inch wheels, walnut and ash wood trim, steerable Xenon headlights, aluminum door sill trim, navigation, colour driver information display, Homelinke, intelligent keyless entry and side assist.
TDI Technik models add 20-inch wheels, aluminum interior trim, S line bumpers and door sill trim, steering wheel-mounted shift paddles, and black headliner (with black and brown interior).
Finally, 3.0T Sport trim includes 21-inch wheels, aluminum interior trim, S line bumpers and door sill trim, steering wheel-mounted shift paddles, three-row seating, panoramic sunroof, manual rear and rear side window sunshades, 14-speaker Bose sterero and black headliner.
