CHANGES FOR 2013: -New optional front corner camera system -Audi side assist now a standalone option in Premium trim Changes to the Q7 for 2013 are limited to trim and options. A supercharged 3.0L gas V6 is the base powerplant, rated at 280 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. An uprated version of that motor, with 333 hp and 325 lb-ft, is one upgrade, the other being a diesel with the same displacement and number of cylinders, and rated at 240 hp and lb-ft. All Q7s come with Audi’s excellent Quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. With excellent ergonomics, tight shut lines and expensive-feeling materials, the Q7 comes across as a tall A8 wagon, albeit one that can handle some light off-roading. In base 3.0TFSI trim, the Q7 comes with 18-inch wheels, roof rails, music interface with iPod cable, park assist, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, contrasting lower body paint, dual-zone climate control, stability control with off-road mode, heated and leather 12-way power front seats, LED taillights, MMI controller, heated outside mirrors, power tailgate, Bluetooth, satellite radio, sliding 40/20/40 split folding second row seat with adjustable backrest angle and wood inlays. 3.0TFSI trim adds 19-inch wheels, navigation, garage door opener, intelligent keyless entry, walnut wood inlays, aluminum door sill trim, side assist, steerable headlights with cornering lights and colour driver information system. 3.0 TDI (diesel) models are similarly equipped.
