Completely redesigned for 2009, the Audi A6 and S6 enter 2010 with relatively minor changes. The 3.2-litre V6 engine receives an upgrade of ten horsepower, from 255 to 265, while a new 3.0 TFSI Quattro Special Edition is added, in Sedan and Avant (wagon) configuration. Its features include 10-spoke high-gloss wheels, sport suspension, S-line exterior, advanced parking system with rearview camera, pushbutton start, aluminum trim inlay, and heated four-spoke wheel with shifter paddles.
The A6 is available with a choice of three engines: a 3.2-litre V6 with front-wheel drive, in sedan configuration; a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 with Quattro, in sedan or Avant (wagon); and 4.2-litre V8 with Quattro, as a sedan. The S6 comes as a sedan and uses a 5.2-litre V10 with Quattro. The 3.2 FrontTrak uses a CVT, while all other models use a six-speed automatic with manual shift mode.
Features on the 3.2 FrontTrak sedan include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlamps with washers, rain-sensing wipers, front and rear fog lamps, LED taillights, keyless entry, backup alarm, cruise control, Bluetooth preparation, heated mirrors with reverse tip-down, cruise control, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, twelve-way power heated leather seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, genuine wood trim accents, floor mats, Multi-Media Interface (MMI) with seven-inch screen, six-CD stereo with Sirius satellite radio, and driver information centre.
The 3.2 Premium Sedan adds bi-xenon headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, parking system with rearview camera, power-adjustable tilt and telescopic heated steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, driver's side memory, heated rear seats, and iPod interface.
The 3.0 Sedan builds on the 3.2 sedan and adds bi-xenon headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, power tilt and telescopic steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, and driver's side memory.
The 3.0 Avant is similar equipped to the sedan, but adds 18-inch alloy wheels, power liftgate, cargo net, cargo cover, tie-down rail system, and parking system with rearview camera.
The 3.0 Premium Sedan builds on the 3.0 sedan and adds adaptive headlights, cornering lights, garage door opener, pushbutton start, Audi Side Assist, parking system with rearview camera, and heated rear seats.
The 3.0 Special Edition models build on the 3.0 Sedan and Avant, and add 18-inch high-gloss wheels, sport suspension, S-line exterior trim, advanced parking system with rearview camera, Advanced Key with pushbutton start, aluminum trim inlay, S-line door sills, and heated MuFu four-spoke steering wheel with shifter paddles.
The 4.2 Sedan builds on the 3.0 Sedan and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, 13-speaker Bose audio system, and navigation system with voice recognition.
The S6 sedan adds 19-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, S6-specific trim, flared wheel wells, rear spoiler, S-specific wheel, 12-way heated Silk Nappa leather sport seats, ski sack, and aluminum and Carbon Atlas interior trim.
