History/Overview
The Audi S5 is the middle child in the brand’s compact coupe lineup, slotting in between the A5 and RS5 models, performance-wise. As its name – and the photos on this page – suggests, the S5 Cabriolet is a convertible version of a handsome car whose most recent update came in 2018 with the arrival of the car’s second generation.

What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
For 2022, the S5 Cabriolet’s entry-level configuration gains as standard equipment customizable ambient lighting and Amazon Alexa functionality, while the top trim adds wireless phone charging and a suite of driver safety assists as standard kit.
Available Trims
Audi offers the S5 Cabriolet in Progressiv and Technik trim levels. Both are powered by a 3.0L turbo V6 engine, an eight-speed transmission, and AWD.
Standard Features
Progressiv trim comes with 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, auto-dimming mirrors, Nappa leather, heated front seats and steering wheel, three-zone A/C, a 10.1-inch touchscreen with navigation, digital gauges, 10-speaker audio, and Amazon Alexa integration.
The S5’s standard safety suite comprises city-speed front and rear collision mitigation, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and rain-sensing wipers.
Technik trim’s additions include headlight washers, laser headlights, power-folding side mirrors, wireless phone charging, Bang & Olufsen audio, and a top-view cameras. This year’s new standard items are adaptive cruise, all-speed forward collision mitigation, traffic congestion and active lane assists, road sign recognition, and hands-on detection.
Key Options
The full package of safety kit is optional in Progressiv models.
A dynamic package adds a sport differential and adaptive damping suspension, and a comfort seating bundle brings sport seats with neck heating, and front-seat lumbar and ventilation.

Audi’s fuel consumption estimates are 11.3/8.4 L/100 km (city/highway).
