For 2011, the Audi A4 receives a new transmission, an eight-speed Tiptronic to replace the previous six-speed. Other changes to the A4 and S4 are in trim. The 2.0 Sedan trades its split-folding rear seat for a fixed model, and adds a new wheel design. A new “Premium Plus” package for the 2.0 Quattro Sedan and Avant models builds on the Premium Package and adds Audi Side Assist, Advanced Key with pushbutton start, and driver information centre with colour display.
The A4 is available as a four-door sedan or four-door Avant wagon. The sedan is available in front-wheel drive or with Quattro all-wheel drive, while the Avant uses Quattro only. It uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre direct-injection engine, mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) in front-wheel drive, or to a six-speed manual or optional eight-speed Tiptronic automatic in the Quattro sedan, and the eight-speed automatic only in the Avant. The S4 uses a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 engine with six-speed manual or optional seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission, and comes only with Quattro all-wheel drive.
Features on the 2.0T sedan include 17-inch alloy wheels, single-zone automatic climate control, fog lamps, cruise control, Intelligent Key entry, heated mirrors, heated washer nozzles, power sunroof, heated leather seats with power driver’s adjustment, floor mats, locking illuminated glovebox, multifunction four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, and CD/MP3 stereo with Sirius satellite radio.

The 2.0T Quattro Premium sedan adds 18-inch alloy wheels, three-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, bi-xenon headlamps with washers, LED taillights and daytime running lights, Bluetooth connectivity, iPod interface, chrome side window trim, power driver’s seat, driver’s side memory, and auto-dimming mirror with compass.
The 2.0T Quattro Premium Plus sedan adds garage door opener, Advanced Key with pushbutton start, Audi Side Assist, and colour trip computer screen.
The 2.0T Avant, Premium and Premium Plus models are equipped similarly to the sedan models, but add a panoramic sunroof on all trim levels, and the Premium and Premium Plus add a power tailgate.
Features on the S4 include 18-inch alloy wheels, three-zone automatic climate control, rain- and speed-sensing wipers, heated washer nozzles, LED daytime running lights, bi-xenon headlamps with washers, LED taillights, fog lamps, Intelligent Key, ultrasonic interior monitoring system, cruise control, heated mirrors, Bluetooth connectivity, chrome side window trim, sunroof, heated leather and Alcantara seats, driver’s side memory, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, front and rear carpet floor mats, locking illuminated glovebox, multi-function three-spoke leather-wrapped wheel, auto-dimming mirror with compass, six-CD Symphony stereo, music interface, and Sirius satellite radio.
