Acura's mid-range TLX sedan returns for 2016 with no changes following its debut as a 2015 model.
TLX trims start out with base and Tech models both powered by a 2.4L four-cylinder engine (206 hp/182 lb-ft of torque) mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. SH-AWD trim gets a 3.5L V6 (290 hp/267 lb-ft) that comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission and Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system. There is no manual transmission, nor can four-cylinder models be had with AWD, or V6 versions with FWD.
Fuel consumption estimates are 9.6/6.6 L/100 km (city/highway) for the 2.4L/FWD model, and 11.2/7.5 for the V6/AWD versions.
Standard features in all models include LED headlights, sunroof, windshield de-icer, auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic climate control, capless fuel filling, 17-inch alloy wheels, electric parking, intelligent keyless entry, Bluetooth, multi-angle backup camera, push-button start, seven-speaker sound system, leatherette upholstery, and power-adjustable and heated 10-way driver and four-way front passenger seats.
A Technology package adds navigation, 10-speaker stereo, AcuraLink infotainment, blind spot and cross-traffic monitors, forward collision warning, heated rear seats and steering wheel, lane keeping assist, power-folding side mirrors, leather upholstery, and rain-sensing wipers.
SH-AWD builds on the base model, adding the V6 engine, AWD, engine idle stop-start, and 18-inch wheels. This trim is also available with the Tech package.
SH-AWD Elite trim builds on the SH-AWD Tech model, and adds auto-dimming side mirrors, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, LED fog lights, front and rear parking sensors, road departure mitigation, ventilated front seats, and perimeter lighting.
Prices range from $35,290 to $47,790.
