CHANGES FOR 2013: - A-Spec trims added, limited to 350 units. Changes are minor for 2013 as the mid-size Acura received a conservative redesign last year. Mechanically, base models continue with a 280-hp 3.5L V6, while Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) TLs receive a 3.7L six with 305 hp that can rocket the Acura from rest to 100 km/h in only 5.4 seconds. Not only does the SH-AWD version take corners with poise and balance, it also corners amazingly flat. Driving enthusiasts will also welcome the TL’s rare-in-this-class six-speed manual, a no-cost option on the SH-AWD, but all TLs come standard with a six-speed automatic with a “double-kick-down” feature and Drive-by-Wire throttle system that creates a “blip” of the throttle to help match gear speeds while downshifting. TL A-Spec adds 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, front/side/rear underbody spoilers, rear decklid spoiler, contrast leather stitching, push button start, Keyless Access System with driver recognition, and A-Spec badging. TL Tech adds (to base TL) rear decklid spoiler with integrated rearview camera, Acura 60GB HDD navigation system, GPS-linked solar-sensing dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless Access System (smart entry and push button start) with driver recognition, 10-speaker Acura/ELS 440-watt premium sound system with 15GB HDD storage, and perforated premium Milano leather trimmed interior. TL SH-AWD adds (to base TL) 3.7L SOHC V6 engine, all-wheel drive, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, hill start assist, headlight washers, and steering wheel with sport grip and interior colour stitching. TL SH-AWD A-Spec adds 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, front/side/rear underbody spoilers, rear decklid spoiler, contrast leather stitching, push button start, Keyless Access System with driver recognition, and A-Spec badging. TL SH-AWD Tech adds (to TL SH-AWD) the choice of automatic or manual transmissions (only trim with the manual choice), rear decklid spoiler with integrated rearview camera, Acura 60GB HDD navigation system, GPS-linked solar-sensing dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless Access System (smart entry and push button start) with driver recognition, 10-speaker Acura/ELS 440-watt premium sound system with 15GB HDD storage, and perforated premium Milano leather trimmed interior. TL SH-AWD Elite adds 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, cooled front seats, and blind spot information system.
