CHANGES FOR 2014:
- Redesigned model.
Now entering its third generation, Acura's athletic 7-passenger crossover receives more cohesive sheetmetal up front and a new Earth Dreams 3.5L V6 sporting a less-powerful 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque versus the outgoing model. Getting that power to the ground is no issue thanks to Acura's signature SH-AWD and due to cylinder deactivation and a smaller engine, fuel economy is improved to 11.2 city and 7.7 highway (L/100km). The MDX may not be spectacularly exciting, but in the luxury seven-passenger segment, you can't get much better bang for your buck. It even costs less than the outgoing model by over three grand.
