History/Overview
The Acura ILX joined the brand’s lineup in 2013 as a then-new entry-level sedan model based on the Honda Civic of the day. Acura updated the ILX in 2016 and 2019 to keep the car’s styling current with the rest of its model range, but this small four-door is nowhere near state-of-the-art.

The Acura ILX moves into 2022 with no changes.
Available Trims
Acura offers the ILX in base, Premium, Premium A-Spec, and Tech A-Spec trim levels. Common to all is a 2.4L four-cylinder engine, an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and front-wheel drive.
Standard Features
The ILX’s base spec includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, sunroof, and passive keyless entry. Inside, there’s a power driver’s seat, heated front seats, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone A/C, and six-speaker audio.
The ILX also comes standard with forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, tire pressure monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
Premium trim gains a power front passenger seat, leather upholstery, blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, seven-speaker audio, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
Premium A-Spec adds 18-inch wheels, Ultrasuede/leather seating, and LED fog lights.
Finally, Tech A-Spec models get navigation, and a 10-speaker stereo.
Fuel Economy
Acura’s fuel consumption estimates for the ILX are 9.9/7.0 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
Acura positions the ILX to compete with the Audi A3, BMW 2 Series, Subaru WRX, Mazda3 GT, and Volkswagen Jetta GLI.
